Felicity's bathroom
I really enjoyed doing this project. It is a mix of reclaimed and modern materials, unfinished and finished details, metal and wood, bold and subtle colours.
In one word:contrast. The sink unit is made in birch plywood painted black with unfinished french cedar doors. The handles are reclaimed from a workshop. The worktop is made from old oak. I tried to incorporate the sink cabinet with the bath by involving a reclaimed wooden box and old hook for a towel. The shelf is made from a very old oak floor board from a barn. It is supported by bent reclaimed gate hinges. I framed an antique mercury mirror with a patined door frame. |
Thanks Felicity and Oli for your trust and the feedback...
the hotel door
This door comes from a hotel in central France (Deczaville). The hotel was built at the end of the 20th century with the coal industry and then closed in the 1970's. I have an selection of different colours, contact me if you're interested... |
rebecca's bedroom
These wardrobes are part of a two year mill house renovation project in Aveyron, France. I used essentially reclaimed joinery found on the site, in the barns or in the field.
The front draw and the top left door are made in old oak. The windows are made in oak with an original paint patina, the panels in the double window are from a door with an original patina too. The "moustache" hinges are antique. |

rebecca's kitchen:
This is the kitchen in the mill house project. I used unfinished french cedar for the doors. The draws are hidden inside the cabinet to keep the fronts simple. The inside cases are made with plywood. The worktop is made in plywood tinted in black. The long shelf is a planed old plank of oak found in the barn. It is supported by a reclaimed metal garden fencing fixed in the wall. |
